Abstract

In recent years, the joint radar-communication geosynchronous (GEO) broadcasting satellite system has attracted more and more attention for its many advantages. For the joint system, a critical issue needs to be properly addressed is the waveform design. In this paper, we design a newly integrated waveform for the GEO satellite system, where the direct-sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) method is employed to obtain desired performance in both radar and communication. The simulations of bit error rate (BER) and autocorrelation function (ACF) validate the performance of the new waveform.
