Abstract

A novel visible-light-induced intramolecular chloroetherfication of electron-enriched styrenes is described. This approach provides a mild, alternative access to the synthesis of chlorinated tetrahydrofurans and tetrahydropyrans with high regio- and stereoselectivity.
