N2 - The full-virtualization model of Xen ARM implements device virtualization based on data access exceptions, and does not capture complete instructions, which produces incorrect simulation results when simulating complex devices. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a full-virtualization model for network devices based on instruction emulation. The basic idea of this model is to parse the complete content of the instruction according the processor manual and use software to simulate the instruction operation; then provide guest operating systems with the same interface as real network devices, allowing virtual machines to transparently access the devices. And the purpose of this model is to fully utilize the hardware virtualization technology provided by ARM, so that the guest operating system can use the network device without modification and without relying on the functions provided by Linux. In the last part of the article, network device virtualization model based on Xen Hypervisor are implemented and the analysis and summary are carried out.
