Abstract
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive neuromodulation technique, commonly used for treating nervous diseases such as depression. Its effects on brain activities are typically assessed using clinical neuroimaging techniques, such as functional magnetic resonance imaging or electroencephalography. However, existing imaging techniques exhibit limitations in real-time detection and spatial resolution. To address these limitations, we propose detecting the effects of TMS via measuring magnetic signal in vitro. Using three adult mice as test subjects, controlled experiments were conducted and notable differences have been found in the magnetic spectra of mice in vitro before and after TMS. This finding validates the feasibility of utilizing in vitro magnetic field measurements to evaluate the effects of TMS.
