Abstract

The dynamic response of a lunar lander to the impact of the surface of the moon with damp is analyzed using the energy principle and vibration theory. A formula concerning the upper limit amplitude of the lunar lander is obtained from theoretical analysis. Based on the ADAMS mechanical simulation software, a microgravity environment was established by computer and some simulations were carried out about the lunar lander. The result was verified by using a numerical example, and the simulation result is in very good agreement with the calculated result. The conclusions could be used for the design and analysis of vibration of the lunar lander.
