Abstract

It takes a long time when steady open circuit voltage is used to estimate state of charge. In order to overcome the shortcoming, a method using steady open circuit voltage based on equivalent circuit model is proposed, which can forecast state of charge quickly. State of charge can be forecasted by unsteady open circuit voltage, model parameters and idle time. A comparison between experimental data and calculated data in discharge idle state was undertaken. The calculation results are in good agreement with the experimental results. The method is with great precision and very pratical.
