Abstract

Three degradation models such as template hypothesis, defocus blur and atmospheric turbulence interference were used to simulate scattering process, and restore underwater image. Experiments show that the simulation methods are feasible, and the restored image is improved obviously, which can give reference for scattering mechanism research of underwater image degradation.
