Abstract

In this paper, a broadband absorber based on metamaterials is proposed. Eight square patches were loaded on the double-ring structure, and two layers of resistance film were used to achieve better wave absorption effect. The shape and structure of the two layers are different, but the resistance value is same. After simulation and optimization, it achieves wave absorption effect of more than 90% in both 0.95 GHz and 18.4 GHz, with the characteristics of insensitivity to polarization, and the total thickness of its wave absorption body is only 1.6mm.
