Abstract
Microstructured optical functional components have important application values and broad application prospects in the fields of aerospace, mechatronics, optics and optoelectronics. Therefore, ultraprecision grinding of the molds for microstructured optical functional components is taken more and more seriously. It is different from the traditional grinding technology, whose workpieces of microstructures grinding usually have complicated morphology, different scales, micrometer dimensions and optical functional structures. The applications and latest researches, the main challenges and future trends of ultraprecision grinding of microstructured optical functional molds are presented and discussed.
