Abstract

Based on locus control technique about magnetorheological finishing optical curved face, two-stage interpolated algorithm is presented according to the characteristics that the normal line of optical part is vertical with that of magnetorheological finishing pan. The primary interpolation with PVT (Position, Velocity, Time) model would be used to control the trace of the table, and the secondary interpolation could be applied to control the complex process of magnetorheological finishing optical curved face. Emulation result indicates that the interpolated error is less than 0.45 nm when machining a spheric face whose R and width is 41.3 mm, 20 mm respectively. The PV (Peak-to-Valley) of surface accuracy is 57.911 nm after K9 optical glass with the same size (R=41.3 mm, width is 20 mm) is polished.
