Abstract

Considering the interaction forces between nanoparticles and base fluid molecules, a two phase Lattice Boltzmann model is developed, and it is found that the results of the two phase Lattice Boltzmann model have a good agreement with the results of published literature. The flow and heat transfer of nanofluid in the rectangular enclosure are investigated, and the effects of Rayleigh number and nanoparticle volume fraction on heat transfer are discussed, in addition, the nanoparticle distribution in the flow field is analyzed.
