Abstract
Two kinds of analytical general solutions of the equation EVJ2 + AVJ + CV = BW are established. By using a sequence of elementary matrix transformations, the first solution is obtained in an iterative form. By utilizing some right coprime fractions, the second solution is given in an explicit form with respect to the free parameter vectors and the eigenvalues of the matrix J. The obtained results are simple, convenient to be used and have wide applications.
