Abstract

In order to solve the problem of high concentration of organic material in the pharmaceutical waste water, combined anaerobic reactor and aerobic biological reactor were used to treat pharmaceutical wastewater. The experiment results showed that the effluent COD was under 250 mg/L, which meet the pharmaceutical industrial discharge standard in China, when the influent COD was 4000-7000 mg/L, anaerobic organic loading rate was 7-8 kg/(m3·d) and aerobic COD loading rate was 1.0-1.2 kg/(kg·d).
