Abstract
This paper presents the study of multiple-target track correlation to improve track ability of smart and multi-mode radar by using range profiles from the high resolution radar, which can be used to quickly classify targets. It also determines the definition of parameter match score for investigation of similarity between targets and points out the mean and standard deviations of the match score used to determine threshold and maximum aspect variation size. Experimental results obtained with three real aircraft show that this method can be used to accurately recognize the target tracks when target aspect variation size is smaller and the correctness of track correlation can be improved by decreasing sample interval.
