Abstract
To explore the toxic effects of Phenanthrene on embryo development of zebrafish and adult zebrafish 1 fish acute toxicity test: adult zebrafish were exposed to various concentrations of PHE(0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 1, 10 mg/L), according to the mortality rate to calculate LC 50 2 Base on the LC 50 of acute toxicity test, the accumulation coefficient (Kcum) evaluated the cumulative toxicity 3 embryo acute toxicity test: One-hour post fertilized embryos were exposed to various concentrations of PHE(0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 mg/L), heart rate of 48hpf, hatching rate of 72hpf, and malformation rate and mortality rate of 144hpf were observed. Experimental results show that 1 acute toxicity test: lethal concentration 50 was 0.74 mg/L. 2 accumulative toxicity test: Kcum between 3.3 and 4.8, it indicated that PHE was classified moderate accumulation 3 embryo acute toxicity test: With the increase of PHE concentrations, the hatching rate and the heart rate of embryo were reduced, while the malformation rate of embryo and the lethality of larvae increased. When the PHE concentration reached 4 mg/L, the hatching rate and heart rate decreased 27% and 34%;with the increase of PHE concentration, malformation rate increased 68% and lethal rate from 5% increased to 61%. Conclusion: 96 h LC 50 for zebrafish was 0.74 mg/L and phenanthrene was classified moderate accumulation through Kcum between 3.3 and 4.8. PHE could hamper the development of zebraifsh embryo, and lead to teratogenic and mortality effects of zebrafish embryo and larvae.
