Abstract

The demand for LBS is increasing continuously, which makes ubiquitous LBS the future trend for the development of position technology. To realize ubiquitous LBS, multiple existing radio localization technologies should be combined for the purpose of better performance. Meanwhile, veritable ubiquitous LBS is hard to achieve without seamless positioning technology. In this article, two aspects of ubiquitous LBS technologies, multi-radio localization and seamless positioning, are analyzed. The key points of these two technologies are illustrated. The future development trend in ubiquitous LBS is also estimated based on the technical features of the existing localization technologies.
