Total structure and dynamic simulation of the stair lift

Abstract

The stair lift is put forward for the wheelchair users and elderly people. A new transmission mechanism for space track (space involute post-tooth ring-sphere gear mechanism) is developed, the parameter equation of the profile and the minimum turn radius formula in the horizontal direction are calculated out. The stair lift is suitable to many kinds of structure tracks under the function of the guide mechanism. Through the dynamic simulation software ADAMS, the overall movement characteristics of the device have been simulated. The dynamic characteristic curves of the whole device have been drawn. The implementation for space track of the involute post-tooth ring-sphere gear mechanism is validated through the simulation.
