Abstract

The paper proposes an improved linear active disturbance rejection controller (ILADRC) for reducing torque ripple in switched reluctance motor (SRMs). A cascaded extended observer based on ILADRC is established to ensure accurate estimation of total disturbances and enhance system transient performance. Furthermore, theoretical analyses of ILADRC's performance are conducted. Finally, the proposed control method based on ILADRC is compared with the conventional proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control scheme through the MATLAB/Simulink platform. The results demonstrate that the proposed control scheme can reduce torque ripple in SRMs and exhibits commendable dynamic performance.
