Abstract
The topology construction method of a load-independent single-switch resonant inverter is proposed in this article. The output characteristics of the inverter are determined by solving the time-domain analytical expressions and the load-independent design equations are provided. Without a closed control loop, the proposed inverter can achieve constant amplitude ac current output and zero current switching with the load variation. Furthermore, the operating characteristics of the four load-independent single-switch inverters are compared and summarized. Finally, the experimental prototype with a peak efficiency of 93.8% is built to verify theoretical analysis.
