Abstract

Aiming at the problems such as long process period, high energy consumption, easy oxidation and easy springback of the component of Ti2AlNb alloy corrugated sheets prepared by the integrated process of roll bending and thermal adjustment, a current assisted roll forming process for Ti2AlNb alloy corrugated sheet was presented. The forming and evolution of current density field for Ti2AlNb alloy corrugated sheet were analyzed by finite element numerical simulation. The results show that the deformation of corrugated sheet is mainly distributed in the roll bending position, and the strain of the front corner of roll forming is slightly higher than that of the back corner. The current density of the roll bending position is related to the contact state with the roller, and the current density increases first and then decreases during the whole forming cycle. The current assisted roll forming can significantly inhibit the springback defect of corrugated sheet based on the electromigration effect, and the forming angle of corrugated sheet is reduced from 125.53° to 120.07°.
