Abstract
In this paper the behaviours of reinforced concrete members such as columns and beams subjected to a fire are investigated by three-dimensional non-linear finite elements. The temperature distribution in the section of concrete member is calculated by Hertz's simplified method, which is then input into the FE program for doing the time-dependent thermal stress analysis. The influence of main parameters on the behaviour of concrete members subjected to a fire is analysed. The procedure has been found good to predict the fire resistance and performance of concrete members.
