Abstract

Three-dimensional hat-shaped alignments of carbon nanotubes were prepared by pyrolysis of iron(II) phthalocyanine on aluminium-coated silica substrates at 950°C in an Ar/H2 flow. The possible formation mechanism of the structure has also been discussed.
