Abstract

Motor's performance is influenced by its temperature rise when operated under constant load and water cooling condition for a long period of time, which has been proved by experiment in this paper. Furthermore the variation of stator copper loss is calculated quantitatively and a 3D model used to analysis the variation of motor's internal thermal field is proposed. By approach of combining experiment and finite element analysis, some valuable conclusions about thermal field are given.
