Abstract

A new heat pump system with freezing heat collection was brought forward. Theoretical model on the freezing of laminar flow in the pipe at constant wall temperature were presented for the freezing heat collection device. On the basis of quasi-steady approximate method, the problem of freezing was analyzed, and the influence of the ice to the heat transfer performance was discussed by the two parameters which are the equivalent average surface heat transfer coefficient and the ratio of latent heat to sensible heat. The results and conclusions are useful to the design of the freezing heat collection device and the improvement of system performance.
