Theoretical Analysis of Single-Story Composite Frame in the Scenario of Middle Column Loss

Abstract

In this paper, the simplified calculation model of composite frame with axial spring and rotational spring constraints is proposed. The calculation formula of the load-deflection curve of the simplified model under concentrated load is derived, considering the influences of the arch action and the connection stiffness. The calculation results are compared with the experimental results to prove the reliability of the derivation process and calculation formula. On the basis of the comparison, the existing formula for catenary stage is modified according to the existing test and simulation results, leading to better consistency between the revised formula and the test results.
