Abstract

This paper studies the traffic safety evaluation of basic freeway section in the cold region. Based on multi-source data of traffic accidents of the Changyu Freeway in the past five years, this paper analyzes the characteristics of traffic accidents of basic freeway section in cold regions and explores the law and connection of accidents from a multi-dimensional perspective. The SPFs function is used to construct the traffic safety evaluation model, and the prediction of the SPFs function and the actual traffic accident record are used to identify the accident-prone locations of basic freeway section in cold regions. Finally, an example analysis of the Changyu Freeway shows that the safety performance of the Changyu Freeway is low, and three sections are in danger level. Through the investigation and study of the accident-prone locations on the dangerous road section, the safety improvement suggestions are put forward.
