abstract = "In order to precisely describe material texture image and establish a quantitative relationship of the material's objective parameters and the subjective feeling, here, this article takes the typical plastic material as example and uses the method related with Kansei Engineering as study method. The study of material texture image experiment was conducted by discriminate analysis, cluster analysis, multidimensional scaling, semantic differential method and so on to quantified consumer's perceptual cognitive on materials, and to build a mathematical model by neural network. This study could provide a theoretical basis for materials selection in industrial design.",
