Abstract

The NIM-2 joule balance has been constructed since 2013 and was ready for measurement in vacuum by the end of 2016. In May of 2017, the first result obtained in vacuum with an uncertainty of ± 2.4× 10-7 was submitted for publishing. The main uncertainty contributions are from the external field, alignment, mass calibration and others. To decrease these uncertainty contributions and get an uncertainty of ± 10-8 level, a series of approaches are presented here and will be performed in the near future.
