Abstract

Based on the static similarity theory, this paper presents the pseudo-dynamic test method for the scale model. The presented method, which only translates similarly the loading and feedback parameters of the experimental model during the test, is convenient to apply to the pseudo-dynamic test because it is easy to operate and comprehend. This paper mainly simulates the pseudo dynamic test for scale model which is a two layer of single span frame structure by hybrid programming using the Matlab and OpenSees software. The numerical comparison results of pseudo dynamic test between the scale model and the full-scale model verify the correctness and feasibility of the presented method in this paper.
