Abstract

This paper presents the results of the theoretical and experimental research directed to creating the low-voltage X- and Ku-ranges magnetrons with two energy outputs. The application of the second (reactive) energy output in a design of a conventional magnetron has enabled additionally to realize the frequency tuning (adjustment) mode and the frequency stabilization using a high-Q resonator in the reactive output. It has shown that an offered design of the magnetron possesses improved frequency performances (for example, the frequency stability is not worse than 10-6, and the frequency tuning (or adjustment) can be realized in the band 250 MHz in the X-range and 110 MHz in the Ku-range). The experimental results show that the magnetrons with two energy outputs have broader functional possibilities for their practical application.
