Abstract

The system is a new online monitor system. It is consisted of a master station, which is a computer with intelligent CANBUS interface unit, and a slave station, which is a monitor module for battery parameter measure. At first, this paper introduced the hardware circuit framework of the monitor module, and then, focused on the software design, including the automatic monitoring of CANBUS bit-rate, the initialization of CAN controller, the transmission, abort transmission and reception of messages. By comparing DeviceNet and CANopen, it explains the reason that CANopen is selected the application layer protocol.
