Abstract

As the development on structural health monitoring systems and the applications on real structures, the intelligent structural health monitoring methods has been becoming the significant research contents. The intelligent structural health monitoring methods are explored by the limited number of sensors and the various types of sensors, especially the intelligent method for stress identification of members on the locations free of sensor. As following, the information acquisition methods based D-S evidence theory and fuzzy sets are introduced, which is used to obtain the stress distribution on an important part of the structure and proofed by the numerical simulation on the steel roof of National Aquatic Centre in China. Furthermore, the acquisition on stress distribution based on uncertainty is given, where the measurements from two kinds of sensors are applied and the simulation on a real steel roof of Shenzhen Bay Stadium in China is carried out. The research work in this paper can provide some basic experiences and theory for developing the intelligent structural health monitoring system, and it is useful for the designation and implementation of a real structural health monitoring systems.
