Abstract

Brillouin amplification was numerically simulated by using the theoretical model of transient stimulated Brillouin scattering include pump depletion. Energy extract efficiency, seed amplification factor, pulse-width compression ratios of seed to Stokes and pump to Stokes versus pump power density were given. Experiment was done so as to verify the theory. The theoretical calculations were coincident with experimental results well.
