Abstract

Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) was one of firstly developed for process tomography. This paper describe a method for image reconstruction with electrical capacitance tomography using a finite-element model to solve the forward problem. A finite element model of 8-pole capacitance tomography sensor is set up with the software ANSYS, the sensitivity map is calculated with the simulation data, and the image is reconstructed with linear back projections, Landwber iteration and Tikhonov regularization method, the image quality was evaluated with image error.
