The function of production practical training in engineering education and teaching method reform

Abstract

Production practical training is an important teaching tache in practical teaching for engineering undergraduates. According to the analysis of the goal and its feature of advanced engineering education, this paper discussed two important functions of engineering education in production practical training. On one hand, it makes students obtain abounding perceptual knowledge of related specialized courses, on the other hand, it also makes students prepare for the transformation from students to workers in mentality, and cultivate their creative thinking. In order to adapt to the goal of engineering education, this paper proposed the reformation method of teaching, innovation and practical training mode of the traditional production practical training.
