Abstract

Numerical simulation about flow field of bowed blade and aft-loaded blade was carried out with high order N-S solver. The effect of blade bowing on passage vortex topology structure was studied in detail. It is found that the positively curved blade can be benefit to make passage vortex stable. Compared with conventional blade, the passage vortex structure is more stable in cascade with aft-loaded blade which secondary loss is small. This paper also analyzed the effect of change of passage vortex structure on loss and point out that all of the boundary condition which will make passage vortex stale is benefit to decrease secondary loss.
