Abstract

We applied Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) to the field of laser scanning and built a LIDAR prototype based on MEMS mirror, by optimizing the control method to improve the scanning speed, and the stability of the method is verified a good performance at 40 m distance as well. The experiments show that this method can significantly improve the scanning speed of MEMS, reasonable utilization of the bandwidth of the MEMS vibrator, improve the rapid scanning and imaging capability of Lidar system, and this will help provide better and safer driving assistance in driverless systems.
