Abstract

How to reasonably evaluate students' learning achievement has become a hot subject in the field of computer aided education. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes an assessment framework with multiple components and stages for a C programming language course. Based on a C automatic grading of programming assignments system and a Moodle-based interactive network teaching platform, our assessment method puts emphasis on the evaluation of students' practical ability, especially on how to write and debug a program. Teaching instances show that compared with the traditional pencil-and-paper examination, the proposed method provides a more authentic, objective, and fairer assessment of students' learning income.
