Abstract

Conventional automotive anti-collision radar antenna adopts the form of vertical polarization commonly. However, under the condition that two cars are driving in opposite direction and facing each other, there will be strong electromagnetic interference between vertical polarized radar devices of two cars. In order to solve the problem, this paper designs a 45° linear polarization automotive anti-collision radar antenna in form of microstrip series-fed antenna array. The antenna works at 76.2-77.5GHz, whose reflection coefficient is lower than-14dB, gain is 14dB and main lobe width is greater than 80°. The side lobe level of the antenna is reduced to-18dB by Taylor synthesis method.
