Abstract
A new concept of mixing enthalpy matrix (MEM) is proposed. It makes the ΔHmix-calculation of a high-entropy alloy (HEA) to be simple and convenient. Relative algorithms are deduced based on Matlab software. The MEM of a HEA is constructed automatically by the function of MixEnthMatr(·). Then the ΔHmix-value of the HEA can be obtained using the MixEnthValue(·) function. The relative calculations are performed in the form of matrix. Finally the function of HEA_Naming(·) accomplishes the normalization of the HEA name. The MEM and relative algorithm of HEAs can be extended to calculate the ΔHmix-values for BMGs (bulk metallic glasses) and other alloys.
