Abstract

To the problems about the traditional circumstances where the brush wears fast and the limitation of higher speed. A new device was designed that based on the principle of Electromagnetic induction and high-frequency transformer which can translate power in a non-contact way. This is not only met the demand of non-contact power transmission, but also the need of changing cutting tools automatically for the machining center. From the result of simulation in Maxwell, the Energy efficiency could improve largely through proper compensating network. In addition, two crucial factors, air-gap and spindle speed were investigated which could affect the efficiency. At last, the experimental data showed that the efficiency can up to 54.8%, It has some value in the application of electric transfer engineering such as rotating arm of robot and ultrasonic machining.
