Abstract
First-hand tests data for heating energy consumption and indoor air quality (IAQ) of real rural dwellings in northeastern China are very important for in-depth statistical research and implementation of energy saving and emission reduction in rural buildings. The test period of 7 consecutive days was used to measure household heating energy consumption in nine rural houses, and then data were converted to household annual heating coal equivalent consumption. There exists great difference in heating energy consumption indicators of rural dwellings. The index "Annual coal equivalent energy consumption per floor area unit heating degree day (kgce/((m2.a)(°C.d))" was presented in the article in order to obtain fair comparisions. In addition, indoor air quality was monitored with parameters including temperature, relative humidity, the concentration of CO, CO2, PM2.5, PM10, occupancy heating energy-using patterns had great impacts on IAQ, especially particulate matters(PM) pollution should draw enough attention. More statistical samples are needed to determin the key factors affecting heating energy consumption, also longer period sampling data of IAQ are needed to evaluate the indoor environment properly.
