Abstract

Ray-tracing-node-analyzing method combined with spectral band model is applied to investigate radiative heat transfer in an absorbing, emitting and anisotropically scattering medium with opaque diffuse surfaces. Considering incident and scattering directions of radiative energy, radiative transfer coefficients for anisotropic scattering medium with diffuse and opaque boundary surfaces are deduced. Under the condition of radiative equilibrium, this paper examines the effects of surface emissivity and scattering albedo on radiative heat flux and temperature fields. The present results show that temperature jump exists at opaque borders, and the jump decreases with increasing of emissivity of inner side of boundary.
