Technical approach to obtain light, thin and broadband coated RAM

Abstract

Light, thin and broadband coated Radar Absorbing Material (RAM) is required urgently to use in modern martial equipment. However, it is difficult to develop the eligible RAM. Panorama Analysis Method is employed to study the distribution set of the electromagnetic parameters for the thin and broadband RAM, and network line is presented to analyze the relations between the electromagnetic parameters: εr, εi, μr, μr in respective frequency and the thickness of RAM, the attenuation of reflection coefficient. Results show that to obtain light, thin and broadband coated RAM, the lossy magnetic parameter μi in respective frequency should beincreased, and it is the only one method.
