abstract = "Image registration algorithm is necessary for the fusion, but most existing image registration methods fail to register the GM-APD and infrared images. It limits the development of the fusion between the infrared and GM-APD images. To solve this problem, we propose a Target consistency registration algorithm (TCR), which is a novel registration method focusing on the infrared image and GM-APD image. The proposed algorithm can register the image pairs effectively, and the registration accuracy of far-distance registration is controlled within one pixel, which improves the registration accuracy nearly 30 times compared with the most advanced registration algorithm. It provides strong support for the extended application of GM-APD and infrared multimode detection.",
