Abstract
In order to enhance the multiplexing capacity of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) sensing system, the tabu search (TS) algorithm is introduced to detect the Bragg wavelengths. By considering crosstalk effects during the process of constructing spectra, two high-reflectance series gratings which work in the same channel can be identified, so the multiplexing capacity of system is doubled. The initial value of the tabu search is set to be the peak of spectrum, so the iteration number can be saved and the computational efficiency is increased. The research shows that compared with the carpet search, the calculating speed of the tabu search is 2000 times higher.
