Abstract

Using the urban wastewater as a cool and heat source is a new technology, of which the key problems are choosing the system and determining the operating parameters. Several system forms, that have been used or discussed are introduced, and the advantages and disadvantages of the pouring water system, shell-tube system, and immersing system are analyzed. Based on this, a new system form is given. The results show that the heat-exchanging coefficient directly used of shell-tube system is about 520 W/ (m2·°C),and the heat flux is about 3900 W/m2. So the shell-tube system has the best effect of heat exchanging. The design parameters and operating effect through actual engineering are introduced, and the references for studying or using urban wastewater as cool and heat source are provided.
