Abstract
Ni0.25Cu0.25Zn0.5Fe1.96O3.94 ferrite powders were prepared by the self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method and subsequent heat-treatments at 800, 850 and 900°C. The phase composition, microstructure and magnetic properties of the NiCuZn powders were investigated by XRD, SEM, TG-DSC and VSM. The results showed that NiCuZn ferrite powders with the single spinel phase were formed after subsequent heat treating at 900°C. The minimum coercive force Hc and the maximum saturation magnetization strength Ms of the NiCuZn ferrite powders formed are 5753.4171 A/m and 68.34 emu/g respectively.
