Abstract

The single crystals of Li2Cu5(PO4) 4 have been grown in the Li2CO3-H 3BO3 borate fluxes. Li2Cu5(PO 4)4 crystallizes in the centrosymmetric triclinic space group P-1 with a = 6.03580(10) , b = 9.2211(2) , c = 11.4138(2) , α = 75.5750(10)°, β = 80.2540(10)°, γ= 74.1590(10)°, Z = 2. The three-dimensional framework is built up of LiO5, CuO4, Cu/LiO5 polyhedra and isolated PO4 tetrahedra. The IR spectrum and UV-Vis-NIR diffuse reflectance spectrum of Li2Cu 5(PO4)4 have been studied.
