Abstract

The heterobimetallic cluster compound [WOS₃Cu₃I(2-Mepy)₃] was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and electronic spectroscopy. Its structure has been crystallographically determined. The nonlinear optical properties of the cluster were measured by using Z-scan technique. The comparison of the optical limiting performance of this cluster with fullerene C₆₀ has demonstrated the cluster to be superior to the fullerene C₆₀.
